Finding time for fitness is probably the most difficult part of becoming fit. Use the following tips to help you make the time.

Create a schedule and stick to it.

Decide what’s the best time of day for you to exercise and schedule 20 to 30 minutes of exercise time three to five days a week. Start slowly and gradually increase your own personal workout schedule as you feel up to it. An excellent goal is to exercise four to six times per week, for 20-30 minutes each time.

Incorporate exercise into family time.

Shoot baskets with your kids, take the whole family on a bicycling trip or simply take walks with your family after eating dinner.

Turn break times into exercise periods.

Take quick, vigorous walks outside your office building during your morning or afternoon breaks. Take a bicycle to work and cycle during your lunch break.

Use an alternative form of transportation.

Ride a bicycle, skate, run or walk to work or to do your errands.

Schedule social activities around exercise.

Go on a skiing, hiking or backpacking trip with friends.

Exercise with Fido.

Take your dog for a jog, hike, walk or swim.
